Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center By Natalie Fiorica

The winter season has arrived. Along with the snow and cold weather comes a warm and cozy fun show. The rave is buzzing up at the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, located in Richland on the UPJ campus. These upcoming shows are brand new and have excellent reviews. One show in particular that has been all the talk is “Hairspray”. This show is in town for one night only, so reserve your tickets for January 20. The full running time of “Hairspray” is two hours and thirty minutes. The New York Post claims this show is “A big, fat, gorgeous hit!”
The main point “Hairspray” sings and talks about Tracy Turnblad and how nobody thinks she has a chance to be on The Corny Collins show. Also during the time of this film things were segregated. So, Tracy wants to end segregation, and you will have to see the play to find out if she succeeds.
The next show is a family favorite which left the critics speechless, Le Grande Cirque (The Grand Circus) on February 23, 2010. A regular ticket for adults is thirty-nine dollars. And everyone under eighteen has a discounted ticket for twenty-nine dollars. This show has been rated five stars from the New York Times. It is quite a crowd pleaser and they get the audience involved in their shows. Le Grande Cirque is a version of Cirque du Soleil. They use acrobatics to make an illusion of magic.
